An applicant, whose petition has been accepted by the lodge is advised of the date his Entered Apprentice Degree has been scheduled.
On that date the petitioner is properly prepared and introduced to the lodge. The solemn process is an enlightening experience and the candidate need not worry that embarrassing or compromising situations will arise during this (or any other symbolic lodge degree) — THEY WILL NOT.
After receiving the Entered Apprentice Degree, you will be instructed to complete the Iowa Systematic Enlightenment Course with the assistance of a mentor. Often times, lifelong relationships evolve between the new member and the mentor.
Having completed the course, you will be asked to return it to the lodge to be declared proficient on the degree. This will occur for each of the following degrees including the Fellowcraft and the Master Mason.
- What is Freemasonry?
- Where did it start?
- What are the membership requirements?
- Will I be asked to join?
- What happens at the Initiation?
- Is Freemasonry a religion?
- How do Masons help others?
- How do I contact someone about joining?
